Sunday we had a BBQ at Brett’s. It was soooo nice! The weather was nice, sun was out, and temp was 74’. Brett made some fantastic burgers along with some baked cubed potatoes with g-peppers-garlic-onions and more. Amanda made a great pasta salad along with a bean-corn salad. Dan made a big green salad…yes sooo much! I am sure I am leaving out some dishes. For desert Brett baked some cookies…yummy we had a wonderful day!
Yesterday my friends came and sat through 3 hours of my 6 hour chemo drip. It was so nice having them with me. We chatted a lot and Deb brought a dice game and guess who won?? Yup! Me! hee hee. It was a nice time. I so enjoy all my wonderful friends. At today’s chemo drip I asked friends if they didn’t mind not to come as I am sooo tired from it. And, sure enough I practically slept the entire 3 hours! Thanks everyone for being so kind and giving to me. I love all of you!

Sue,
I love your attitude. You have wonderful family and friends. Sometimes it is so nice just to sleep through treatment isn’t it?
Hi Sue!
I hope you’re feeling well today. I’ve been busy with kids and doctor’s appts. and “life.” Thought I’d ask you a favor? My mother’s friend from high school was just diagnosed with colon and rectal cancer. So far, she’s not talking to anyone about it. I wondered if she does ever feel like reaching out, would you be interested in talking with her? Her name is Debbie. She was just diagnosed about two weeks ago. So, I’m sure the shock hasn’t yet worn off. I’ll let you know if and when she decides to reach out. We’re making plans to come to Michigan soon (possibly for Mother’s Day). Hope you’re feeling well. This beautiful weather sure helps!
Take care,
Kelly
Sure Kelly I would do whatever Debbie needs. Let me know. Maybe we can get together this time..?
I will try to stop by sometime during the weekend of Mother’s Day. We’ll be at the Tiger game on that Sunday for Mother’s Day. So maybe on Saturday we can meet up somewhere? I’ll email when it gets closer to the date. Take care Sue!
Glad you had a good one! I really dig reading the information you have related to your diet and the juices you have been drinking.
I try to get Daddy Lane plenty of healthy juices to supplement his diet. U rule!

Hi Sue,
I hope you are feeling better. You have been through a heck of a time to say the least.
Hello, 25 states have an F in colon cancer legislation. That means people under 50 have to fight to get a colonoscopy even if they are showing symptoms. This is why my diagnosis was delayed and I had full insurance coverage! Please read the message below.
Please read
Many states have an F in making their insurance companies pay for colon cancer screening. The docs are forced to tell people like me that I am too young. Then we go on thinking we’re ok for symptoms disappear for a while then we’re diagnosed with stage III or IV cancer. Please help me
Could you please sign and forward my guestbook through bulletins and email for people to sign? In the message box, type I support colon cancer laws in America. Please don’t wish me a happy birthday. :) Thanks. It is to support colon cancer laws. 13,000 people under the age of 50 are being diagnosed with colon cancer every year. Around 150,000 people total are being diagnosed every year. And 56,000 people are dying from it every year. It’s the 2nd leading cause of death in the country yet only 25 states support colon cancer screening for the unisured and the insured. My wish if for 1,000 to sign by my 43rd birthday on June 29th.A beginning to stop the pain and sorrow. You do not have to post your picture or email address. See if your state measures up on colorectal cancer legislation providing colonoscopies to all including people under 50. http://www. eifoundation. org/national/nccra/report_card/
Remember 13,000 people under 50 are being diagnosed with colon cancer every year. With colonoscopies being insured, we can cut this in half by early detection of polyps. Please sign my guestbook.
