wow..how time flies! I hope everyone is doing well. I fell and really bruised some ribs a week ago Sat. and I am still in loads of pain! I wonder why rib pain is so bad. I hope it eases up soon. My friend’s therapist said they could hurt for 2-3 weeks. Why can’t I ever do something simple I will never know.
We went to my cousin’s daughters wedding the night I fell. I got through it with darvocet…LOL! Thank goodness for medications. I would have not been able to go otherwise. It was also over an hours drive to get there. But, in the end we had the best time seeing cousins that I haven’t seen in many years..15 and more. The bride was beautiful, food was very good…and visiting was the best.
We spent some time with our boys and daughter in law yesterday and went to lunch with them. Today was ‘leaf’ day. All of a sudden out of the blue the leaves are falling and winter is on its way, we can just feel it in the air. I have on comfy sweats and socks and I am ready to enjoy wrapping up in a blankie on the couch and watching some TV. That’s about all winter is good for….:-)
Drop in and say hello and let me know how you are.
I am on my off ‘week’ of Xeloda so I feel pretty good…yippie!

Sue sorry to hear about your fall. I broke a rid once and it took awhile to heal. Hang in there it will get better.
Yes we must stay in touch I haven’t found to many people like me with getting hit by the big C every year but I am bound and determine to beat this thing.
Cheryl
Well, you have now! Stick with us, we will be here for you…
We all must be careful as our bones are so fragile due to our therapies. Last winter I spontaneously fractured my pubic bone. I certainly didn’t fall on it! So be cautious. Don’t you just love those weeks off. My new chemo is three consecutive days, every 3 weeks. So I have plenty of time between treatments. It is my 3rd line treatment. My hair had come back, and now it has fallen out again, just 2 weeks after I started. It is always something. I had gamma knife radiation to my brain 3 weeks ago. I pray it was successful. And, since you asked… rib pain is so bad because there are so many little nerves in the intercostal muscles (between the ribs). Take care, I feel your energy in your comments. Stay positive. Gaile
Ouch! Sorry about your ribs.
I agree, winter coming, curl up on couch. I have a new toy my husband bought me. It’s a throw just the right size for the couch and it’s an electric mini-blanket. When I get cold, I turn it on and enjoy the relaxing heat. It really is wonderful.
You remain in my thoughts and prayers.
