How it hurts soooo many people!

I live to the fullest everyday.

Pray for everyone's pain and suffering.

animic—I also have lupus and this was found on a routine blood test. I had no other symtoms. Had I got a colonoscopy one year earlier at age 50, I probably would not have got cancer. Please have a colonoscopy at least by age 50! Earlier if there is a family history or if you have symtoms.

6-03 stage 3 colon cancer. Removed right colon, gallbladder, ovaries and lymph nodes (one positve)
12-06 stage 4 colon/liver cancer. Had 1/3 liver removed and swollen nodes near by (positive). Detected by CEA blood test-the pet scan. Did 28 days of radiation, then onto oral chemo therapy. I take Xeloda 21 days a month. I have been on this now for 8 months.
Febuary 08- spread to lungs—now on chemo therapy IV’s (folfox6, Avastin 5FU-levo and Oxi) 6 hours one day-4 hours next day and wear fanny pack filled with chemo for 48 hours at the same time as treatments. I do this every other week.

28 days after second surgery. Felt ok until the last week in which I was very tired.

6-03—36 weeks of IV chemo therapy. Had problems with severe diarrah, nausa and fatigue 3 days out of 7. Slightly ill the rest of the days with same symtoms, but milder.
2007—doing much better on chemo therapy by adding alternitves. (read below)
12-07- oral Xeloda (chemo therapy). Take for 2 weeks straight 2 times a day, then one week off. Side effects are slight now that I take fermented wheat germ, green wheatgrass and mangoseed juice. The juice improved my energy level a lot! I think we are seeing some results from the fermented wheatgerm as we are now starting to see on my cat scans that things have kind of stopped. In the England Cancer Journal they have proved that fermented wheat germ can slow and sometime cure cancers. The mangoseed juice is made in Asia, this is the only place it grows. It is extremely high levels of antioxidants! Knock on wood I haven’t been sick since I started it! I also only eat organic (as much as I can) I eat lot’s of greens and fruits. I get protein from the grains and I also eat a lot of nuts. I have felt so much better since doing this it is unbelievable.. I have hand and foot syndrome that this chemo can cause..this can/is be very painful.
Febuary 08-New treatments of folfox6, Avastin and 5FU—extreme fatigue-nausa-diarreha-controled by medications for the most part. Need to rest a lot.

drinking Xango Juice and Avemar-2 weeks now...Views: 1673

I have to tell you that 2 weeks ago I had no idea if drinking Xango Juice and Avemar would have any impact in how I feel on chemo therapy (Xeloda). I was getting very worn out after 5 months of 21 days a month of this. Anyway, I am so amazed. I have no idea which drink is working, as I started them both at the same time but, I have been feeling SO much better (2 weeks later). The last 2 days which ‘would have been’ my worse days for fatigue, nausea, and diarrhea and guess what?? None of this happened for the ‘first’ time ever! I felt good all weekend—I should have been on the couch, but instead I was out with Bill taking a ride in his favorite car (couple hours)—out to dinner—-visiting a friend—and had dinner here with our sons—-and I felt good. I did all this Saturday and Sunday. I am so amazed. This may not sound like a lot to you, but ‘believe’ me it is to me! I have been told by a few people how surprised I would be (drinking these) and they are so right! My one friend has been housebound for years (FMS) and she is up and traveling now! I really deep down have a feeling that maybe these alternative all natural things may end up one day being a cure for all these ugly cancers and more. All the information for these is below in my previous post’s if you’re interested. I will be continuing these for sure…it feels so good to feel good on chemo….BTW- all 3 of my (cancer) Dr’s gave me the go head to try these after I showed them the Journals that they are in and have proven ‘FINISHED’ studies. My Radiologist was so excited about the fermented wheat germ that he went right to his computer to gather more information in which he has found, and he is excited to see how it has affected me. Wait until I see him and he sees my big smile! It is a lot easier feeling functional on chemo and having a good quality of life verses what I had before—with battling this cancer!

Hi Sue, I just read your blog about the Xango and Avemar juice. My wife is battling breast cancer (diagnosis 2002) moved to the bone, now in the liver. She just started on the Xeloda. She is in her 3rd cycle of 14 days on 5 days off. She also gets sick from it, and her hands and feet get extremely sensitive red and sore.

Are these juices available at a local health food store?

Dwight

Hi Dewight, no you cannot buy the juice at a local store. I searched everywhere on the Internet for the best price from a distributor. Here is the cheapest I found it: http://www.mangosteenhealthshop.com/

Also, the ‘fermented’ wheat germ was hard to find at a low price (but, believe me these are worth every penny). I cheapest I found it is here:
http://www.discount-vitamins-herbs.net/store/PPF/parameters/889_0/more_info.asp

Also, for the hand and ‘foot’ ( Xeloda can cause this) syndrome I use, ‘bag balm’, you can get it at a drugstoer. I put it on my feet heavy, rub in good, put on a pair of socks (bed time). During the day I put it on once also, and wear socks. It helps a lot! Although, now that I think of it I didnt get this this time on my 2 week Xeloda chemo either since I tried these 2 new things! Amazing!

Maybe these will work for your wife also, I don’t know, but I am very happy to be feeling this good on chemo therapy!

Good luck to your wife and her treatments.

I made a mistake. I found the Xango Mangosteen Juice at amazon.com. They sell 4 bottles for $113.00 plus shipping (to my house shipping is $18.20) and tax. So this isnt too bad of a deal. I get it cheaper though online (see my previous post).
I am still feeling pretty good.

It seems that the links that we add to out posts do not work…??
