Immune Therapy Description and Side Effects - What Cancer Survivors said about their immune therapy treatment.


  • Aldara didn't work for me
  • Bad rash from Erbutix. Had to stop Ethyol. To much nausea.
  • Been getting a weekly shot of Procrit after radiation therapy was done to keep hemoglobin in the normal range.
  • Daily booster shots after the first week. they tried Neualasta with me but the bone pain put me in the hospital.
  • dendritic cell therapy2006-2008. improved my immune system but unsuccessful in preventing another brain tumor. very costly. side effects= fever- short term

  • I don't know if this is the right box to include the Alopecia Universalis I've had since I was 4 and 1/2. I lost all my hair in a matter of months. So far, they don't have any treatments for it.
  • I take NANO products called Humic Acid and Fulvic Acid along with Colostrum, SC Formula, CO-Q10, Anamu and Cynara. These supplements cause no side effects.

  • June 21, 2006, and every following 3 weeks...through August 30, 2006...then November 8 & November 29, 2006 Injection of Neulesta Major bone and joint pain...and I just thought chemo did a number on me! Aranesp...only when my red count and platlets would get below normal. That wasn't often
  • Just started Cyclosporin on 1/1/10... Still on Cyclosprin as of 8/19/10...lumps disappeared, but now I have kidney insufficiency...UGH! Lowered the doseage in July but now the levels are not in the theraputic range....some of the intitial symptoms from last year have returned....cough, chills, etc.
  • Lenalidomide- Generally well tolerated
  • LOTS and LOTS of vitamins!!! multi vitamin, green tea extract, as well as acai pills (superfood) high in antioxidant.
  • Loved herceptin, no side effects!.......all done 12/20/04!!
  • My doctor wanted me to take antioxidant supplements, and to exercise, exercise, and eat better :)

  • Neopugen IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!! I hated those shots. I felt worse with them, then with out them.

  • Neulasta shots first day after chemo. Headache and bone aches lasting three days.

  • Rituxan after each chemo (6 cycles) to be followed by two years of "maintenance" Rituxan. I found that if it is dripped slow (over 3 hours) I'm pretty good. The last time they dripped it over two hours and I was so exhausted for days. That won't happen again!
  • Saturday, October 6, 2007 Tired, nauseated, a little dizzy, but not much else.

  • Starting Immune Therapy with Envita Medical Centers Nov. 08
  • still on cyclosporin just starting to ween me off very slow process side effects for me my kidney functions are elevated and i get fluids frequently i am in remission now and doing great
  • Tacrilimus, May 2010 to present(Jul21,2010) damaged gallbladder and had to be removed july 3,2010. Also elevated cretin level of the kidneys
  • to come, will be Herceptin for 1 year
